Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for beginning the current science-based study of children's eyewitness memory and child victimes as witness in lawful situations. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with a wide range of research publications as well as numerous grants she is also the winner of numerous national and global distinctions. She has advised a variety of government agencies and governments around the world about policies and research relating to the treatment of children victims in the justice system. She is also a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations, including those of the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division as well as three divisions of Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
